magic spoon cereal bar review

The Magic Spoon cereal bars are the latest product to be released by the company known for bringing our favorite childhood cereals back to life in a delicious, healthy way.

Venturing away from the cereals, these new protein bars are a “childlike cereal bar for grown-ups” according to the Magic Spoon box.

I tried the two Magic Spoon cereal bar flavors and am here to give my honest review!

Magic Spoon Cereal Bar Review - Cocoa Peanut Butter

The first bar I went for was the cocoa peanut butter.  Upon unwrapping the bar, I immediately thought of the classic Quaker chewy bars I ate growing up.  It looks similar and is just about the same size, from what I remember.

As far as the taste, the peanut butter is not overpowering and you get a nice cocoa taste from the chocolate chips.

The thing I loved about the Magic Spoon cereal bar was that it did not have a grainy taste that you normally get from a protein bar.

The bar was chewy and overall had a nice taste.  I would rank it a 7.1.

Magic Spoon Cereal Bar Review - Cookies And Cream

Of the two flavors, I enjoy the cookies and cream more.  The chocolate taste was great and similar to the cocoa peanut butter, there was no grainy flavor of protein powder.

If you’re expecting your classic cookies and cream taste, your not going to get it with this.  The chocolate taste was great but I would never have guessed it was cookies and cream.

I would give this cereal bar a 7.5.

Are They Worth It?

These magic spoon cereal bars are great in taste and even better in ingredients.  You are getting a quality protein bar without any of the added junk that many bars add.  They are a bit pricey at $2.44 per bar but that’s not any worse than a bar you would get at a grocery store.

They can be great for a mid day snack or part of a healthy breakfast to start the day off on a strong foot.

Overall these bars are worth the price for a quality item that tastes good and will help you with your health and fitness goals.
